Will post this challenge as 7 v 7 but we are open to 12 v 12 if you can get enough people. You are free to have as many mercs as you want, up to 12 ppl total.

Prefer a random Tie Breaker map, if possible (selected by TerroX) but not Katabatic... too predictable. :P

you will get a postcard in the mail about the challenge. All you have to do is sign it, put your right thumbprint on it. You will need to send it back along with your Tribes 2 gamebox UPC. And that's it!

=[B|C]= Issued a challenge to you. I did that .. So I think now, what you do is log into your team and go look for challenges... then accept.. err uhh :huh: Im really hoping TerroX walks us thru this first one..

I keep looking to see his hand of guidance in this. I mean we can handle the match itself, but using the ladder.... hrmmm


I hope TerroX shows up so he can observe, and pick a tie breaker map if needed, etc. By the way.. Are we playing on the Official Shifter Server or =[SHIFTER|Xtreme]= ? I dont care, as long as the bugs are ironed out on his server, I would prefer it.

@ Renegade - We are agreed on the following points I assume: Shifter Full Vehicles, Mercs allowed (so that you may augment your roster if needed - mercs must be issued your clan tag). After the flag drops and the map begins, no additional troops may be added until start of the next map. I agree to have a minimum game of 7 v 7 and if you can bring more I am not oppossed to a larger game, provided the teams are even (i.e. 8 v 8 or 12 v 12).

After the match, I suggest we all make a quick promotional tour to a BASE server with our SHIFTER tags... but thats just an idea. ;)

Ok, whats so good about mercs? I just dont get it.....

Those terms are acceptable with us.
Girak, Mercs are Mercenaries that will help a team out if they don't have enough players.

I will check again for the challenge, but it should have appeared next to the team, "Challenege Issued by so-and-so"
"Accept" or "Decline"

Ok, I must be either braindead or plain retarded.
I cannot find your team stig, nor can I find anything about either accepting a challenge or issuing one.
I searched for a challenge, and could not find B|C anywhere, and clicking on team challenges reveals no challenges.
Help would be nice here.

MERCS ARE GOOD FOR ONE THING: Helping you flesh out your roster if you fall short. Say only 4 of you show up and youre stressing because BC has a full compliment. You can turn to other players who happen to be lingering around, and help meet your minimum #.

Or lets say BC shows up and we only have 7 people, but 12 of your players all showed up on that day and you're bummed about telling 5 people that they cant play. Well, Ill just go look for 5 mercs who want to play. In this case, we have a separate MERC force we pull troops from when needed.

Because Black Chapter and -)DgD) are Allies, we use their members - rarely do we use Mercs from anywhere else. If you look at our roster: > ROSTER < you will see the only mercs we list are our DgD Brothers.

If you want to cut out Mercs all together, that may force players to get their clans together if they want to participate... not sure. Im open to other P.O.V.'s Maybe we can establish a cap on # of Mercs. And you would have to list them on a stand-by list.

I've always been open to the idea because I like to see everyone get invloved. Sadly the trend has been that the teams with better organization tend to attract the players, sometimes too many. Which is why BC stopped open recruiting...

Perhaps we need to re-evaluate the Merc system. Maybe it will force people to get their $h!† together.

The bottom line Stig, If getting rid of Mercs can help shifter, then hell yeah.
If it can make former tribes create new or rebuild, then all the better.
I am for whatever, and however to help Shifter.

RE: Mercs. I will adhere to my our own policy, and that is only to accept Mercs from -)DgD). Our 2 clans are very closely tied. And with Osiriss M.I.A. and Stealth Tiger, I dont know where, it prolly won't matter anyways. But I keep a light on for them...

I think that you all did a good job. I spoke with Protoss after the match, sometime that evening, and gave him some feedback.

DragonWings and MasterChief did well in the air. Good Shrike coordination.
Tentacle Master was doing his part, too. Good effort! :) On the ground, dueling was intense!! I tell you what, we all had alot of fun and hope to do it again soon.

We think DA is a worthy adversary. ;)

I must add that, even tho you think you didnt do too well, I sincerely hope your clan takes this in stride and learns from it. After all, you cannot be upset with your performance given you were playing Shifter vets who have several years of combined skill.
